This is a blog about being and not being bored in Irvine. In a town where most places are closed at 9pm and the rest by 10 or 11, life can get a bit ... booooring. But I believe that boredom is a symptom of not being present, because there is always something to do, see, appreciate or love. Therefore I'll be posting different things that I do on a daily basis to enjoy life a little bit more. Ali Sabet
Hey for all you Halo Lovers, order your copy of Halo 3 before 9 pm tonight and you get to go to a launch party/tournament at your local Gamestop!! Check out Gamestop.com for more info.
So today I was having a cup of coffee at peet's and I noticed something completely different right next door! A GIGANTIC Gamestop™! I mean how many freakin' games do we really need.
It was basically a bigger version of a regular one, with a few minor differences.
1. There were these really cool sound cones above the sample game consoles - only you hear the sound, but it was amazing surround sound!
2. They had these touch screen game guides that you could scroll through and check out new games and get all the details.
3. Some sort of Applesque Genius bar in the back.
4. Tons of LCD displays featuring new games.
I also got a hands on moment with the new DJ hero. Found it pretty hard, but I'm a rookie when It comes to gaming. The concept was pretty cool and felt pretty true to life.
It's worth stopping by if you are getting a cup of joe, or pickin' up some canvases next door at Aaron Brothers. For gamers, it's a good trip for sure.
